
MOCAAPI conducted its Second Free Health screening camp today. This was during the Indian Cultural Association of Toms River's annual picnic. This was organized at the Winding River Park. Out of the more than 100 attendees 46 people had preregistered for the health screening.
These free health screening camps are being

carried out by MOCAAPI physician volunteers as part of their charitable committment to the local communities. The first of these camps was held last sunday in
Neptune and this was the second such camp. The camp was organized by Dr. Akshay Patel who is the Chair of the Charitable committee. The volunteers included Drs. Jayesh Parikh, Dhiren Shah, Tarun Shah, Manoj Parikh, Pallavi Parikh, Samir Jain, Vipul Lakhani, Neelu Jain-Lakhani, Anil Gupta, Vipul Parikh, Vinod Aggarwal and Tina Panchal. It started promptly at 9:00 AM and was concluded at 1 PM.

The participants were screened for Diabetes, Hypertension and high choleserol, the three leading causes of cardio-vascular diseases. They had a dental screening oral exam by Dr. Tina Panchal. Dr. Vipul Lakhani provided the Eye screening exams. In addition, general medical counselling and education was provided. The Registration was organized by Jigna Patel.
